5. main hoon rajnikanthmain hoon rajinikanth is a 2015 indian comedy spoof film in the hindi language. the filmis written and directed by faisal saif. the film was initially supposed to releasein the year 2014, but faced huge opposition and controversy when south-indian actor rajinikanthapproached chennai high court to stop the film's release based upon the use of his namein the film's title. business of cinema categorized this film in top 10 banned movies of bollywoodalong with movies such as bandit queen, black friday, kama sutra.after a long-running court battle, filmmaker faisal saif finally changed the title of thefilm to main hoon killer,falling under producer's pressure and it was released on 22 may 2015across north india. however, in south india

3. kaum de heerethis is a punjabi movie based on life of three sikhs who assassinated former prime ministerof india mrs.indira gandhi. according to central bureau of investigation (cbi) , censor boardof india's ceo rakesh kumar cleared this movie in june after accepting a bribe. he is currentlyin custody though the film producer refused the allegations and said if it was such acase why would they wait for such a long time they would have given it.the film producer satish katyal has appealed to the film certification tribunal (fcat)to get clearance for this movie. the controversial film is based on the assassinsof indira gandhi, who are allegedly glorified in the movie. however, many sikhs believethat film is the true depiction of the sikh's
community feelings against atrocities of theindira gandhi government. 2. unfreedomunfreedom is a 2014 indian drama film by raj amit kumar which was released in north americaon 29 may 2015. the story revolves around a muslim fundamentalistin new york who kidnaps a liberal muslim scholar with an intent to kill, while a closeted lesbianin new delhi kidnaps her bisexual lover with the intent to love. the resulting tortureand violence evokes a brutal struggle of identities against "unfreedom".in india, the film was refused certification by the examining committee. a revising committeeof the censor board proposed cuts to the director, raj amit kumar. he refused and appealed againstthe censor board's demand for cuts to the
indian government's information and broadcastingtribunal. in response to his appeal, the authorities completely banned the film regardless of cuts.lesbian theme intersecting with religion is as good as blasphemy for the censor board.this movie was banned based on its content and the portrayal of muslim fundamentalists. 1. india's daughterindia's daughter is a documentary film directed by leslee udwin and is part of the bbc's ongoingstoryville series. the film is based on the 2012 delhi gang rape and murder of a 23-year-oldwoman who was a physiotherapy student. the film was scheduled to be aired on tv channelsround the world on march 8 to coincide with international women's day. in india the popularnews channel ndtv was going to screen the
