you've got that copy of meatballs 2 on vhs.and you just have to have a dvd copy of it. hi, i'm rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert.and i'm going to show you how to, to dub movies from vhs on to a dvd player. o.k. first thingyou need to do, is make sure you have the right gear. first thing you're going to needis a dvd burner, alright. it will say it's a recorder or burner. right on your unit here,it happens to be a sony model. one of the easy ways to do it, is to. well, get a unitmuch like this one, which has both the vhs and the dvd integrated into one unit. it'sgot a one touch dubbing feature. you put your blank media in one side, your vhs in the otherside. and you hit go and that's it. the instructions, the on screen prompts, very easy to follow.a video, blank media and this unit. and you're
dubbing all your stuff. you can throw theseaway, archive them, recycle, do whatever you want. and now you have them on a digital media.but let's say, you have a dvd burner and a vhs player. i'll show you how to wire thattogether to make it happen. first thing we want to do is, put our copy of meatballs 2right in there. a classic. now let's go to the back. basically, what we're doing hereis just a simple drop tub. and by that. i'm saying we need to take our video out. ando.k., that's going to be out of here on the vhs player. and we can see here that the onlyway it's going to come out. and into this one, is going to be through the red, whiteand yellow connectors. so line out red for right channel, white for left channel andyellow, video. now if you've got other connectors.
you may want to chose those to get a betterdubbed picture. but it is vhs. so you know, get as much quality. but don't go nuts onit. o.k., now we're going to find our input in here. and the only one that comes in. eventhough it does have higher quality connections, is the same one. so again, it's just a matchingthe red, the white and the yellow. and again, too any time if you have a decision to makebetter, that you need to. you can make better quality cables, if you have them kicking around.anything to increase the quality. then it's a simple dubbed procedure. and by that, imean this. is this that, you want to take your play. go back about five seconds beforeyou want ti to be there. and push play and pause. then on your recording machine. youwant to begin recording by hitting record,
pause. now here's the trick. the pro trick.press on pause on your play deck. you're going to wait that five seconds. gives you timeto move over to the record deck. when it gets to be exactly there, un-pause it. don't hitrecord, un-pause it. and you've got a nice clean start to your dub. basic dubbing stuff.basic rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert. saying, well, string me later.
